Childcare providers are permitted to offer the EYFE funding in different ways and at TiggyWigs we have decided to offer the EYFE funding over a period of 38 weeks per year. This is broken down as 12 weeks for the Spring term, 12 weeks for the Summer term and 14 weeks for the Autumn term. Offering the funding over 38 weeks means you can claim the maximum amount of funding available.
TiggyWigs is open for 51 weeks of the year and by offering the EYFE funding over 38 weeks it means the remaining 13 weeks of the year will be charged for at our non-EYFE rates.
We will be offering 3 hours of EYFE funding during our standard morning sessions and 3 hours of EYFE funding during our standard afternoon sessions. The maximum amount of EYFE funding being offered for an all-day session will be 6 hours. To qualify for the full 15 hours of standard EYFE funding at TiggyWigs your child will need to attend the nursery for a minimum of 5 sessions per week. If your child only attends the nursery for 4 sessions per week then the maximum amount of EYFE funding you can claim is 12 hours, for 3 sessions per week it is 9 hours, for 2 sessions per week it is 6 hours and for 1 session per week it is 3 hours.
The additional hours of the morning or afternoon session will be charged for at our EYFE rates.
The extended 30 hours funding is offered in a different way to that of the standard 15 hours funding as we offer it in blocks of 10 hours only. Therefore, to receive the maximum amount of extended EYFE funding your child will need to attend the nursery for a minimum of 3 full days per week.
